I took this trip back in August, 2016. Chicago was so unbelievably amazing, the only small complaint was the slight humidity, but other than that…I LOVED IT! Here’s why..
First off, the airport and our hotel were nice and easy to get around. We stayed in the South loop about maybe a 10-15 minute ride from down town. The city was just how I imagined it and how I’ve seen it in the movies. A lot of train tracks, street art and very tall buildings.
The views from up there were incredible!! This is the John Hancock Building, up on the 94th floor theres an observation deck that was so darn beautiful. I felt like a kid in a candy store when I was enjoying the view, it was breathtaking. I’m a sucker for views. The buildings, the sky, the sun, the little tiny people way down below, wow!
Like California, Chicago has its main landmarks and below you will see one of the most famous! The Bean! Or as google and some actual Chicago natives call it…Cloud Gate! This was at the top of my list of things that I wanted to see while I was there. I’ve seen it in so many movies like The Vow, LOL and more. Seeing it in person was surreal. It was huge, interesting and BEAMING.
One thing Chicago could never, ever lack are views. Truly breathtaking, exquisite, amazing views. The very tall buildings make you feel as if you’re no bigger than an ant.
Since this trip was taken over a year ago, I don’t have as many pictures as I would like to share with you but let me tell you…the food in Chicago… WOW! When you go, please please please try a deep dish pizza. It was the best decision you could make when you’re there. The cheesy-ness of it is life changing. lol
I will never forget Chicago, IL. It is by far one of my favorite mini vacations I’ve ever had.
